Norman, Capt. Charles Boswell, late of the Bengal staff corps and 90th Light Infantry; special correspondent of the Times in Asia Minor during the Russo-Turkish war 1877.

  1. Armenia and the Campaign of 1877, Lon., 1878, 8vo.
"The style is not brilliant, and is occasionally even slipshod; yet, :or all that, it is one of the most valuable contributions to the literature of the Russo-Turkish war."—Spectator, 11. 732.
  2. Tonkin; or, France in the Far East: with Maps, Lon., 1884, 8vo.
"Capt. Norman's book is an opportune contribution to the literature of this question, beginning as it does with the early relations between France and Tonquin, before the French Revolution, and continuing the narrative of the present war down to the most recent operations. … His main purpose, however, is to … urge the danger which the conduct and present temper of the French bode to England and to civiliaition generally. He does not strengthen his case by the violently anti-French tone which pervades his book." Ath., No. 2940.
  3. Colonial France, Lon., 188, 8vo.
"Captain Norman would be well worth hearing at length upon military colonial topics, but in dealing with general colonial history and with economic subjects he is off his ground." Ath., No. 3022.
  4. The Corsairs of France, Lon., 1887, 8vo.

Norman—Rogers.—On the 17th inst., at Holy Trinity church, Lee, by the Rev. James Norman assisted by the Rev. Walter Bucke, Charles Boswell Norman, captain Bengal Staff Corps, to Jessie Maud, daughter of the late William Rogers, Esq. of Bristol.

Following the Norman link of the cleric to the wedding, it gives Page:Alumni Oxoniensis (1715-1886) volume 3.djvu/252. This seems less likely to be a brother, and while it may be related, it would seem more likely to be an uncle or a cousin.
